  • Mainly we use our own supply of timber but we'll gladly work your timber if it has an attractive grain you want to display
  • We don't use irreplaceable precious hardwoods, we use timber from sustainable forests
  • None of our products are painted or stained with toxic material - so they're safe for your children and pets
  • All our interior doors come complete with hinges and handles from our range - all as standard and all included in the price (again, we'll use your design if you wish)
  • Our exterior doors have fitted draught-excluder, handles, hinges, weather-bar, letter-box, new framework - all as standard and all included in the price

Who we are - The Door Store has been in Commerce Street for about 5 years now, after its start-up in Anniesland back in 1976.
The man in charge is Pat Duffy, with some 25 highly-skilled woodworkers employed in his newly-refurbished 5,000 sq ft workshop-cum-showroom.
What the Door Store is possibly best known for is the unique, world-recognised, Charles Rennie Mackintosh pattern, with tasteful glass and lead inserts in the style of the "Glasgow Rose". Nevertheless, the Door Store will build any door to order - as they say: Any door, Any size, Any style.
All doors are stained to the customer's own requirements FREE OF CHARGE.

Pat Duffy stresses - "when I say 'free estimates' I mean just that: totally free and with no obligation. Nor will my salesmen squat in your home for hours. If my people are in your house for longer than 20 minutes, there's something wrong and I'll want to know about it, so call me the next morning - please!"

The public are cordially invited to visit and examine the Door Store's extensive range of doors - a stock which currently over 4,000 doors and is continually changing to reflect the latest fashions and materials.
